HLTAID003 PROVIDE FIRST AID

This course is designed for designated industry workplace first aider or, anyone who requires first aid training as a requirement of their employment or course of study.


COURSE OVERVIEW:

This blended delivery unit requires an online registration and quiz to be completed prior to the attendance of a single day intensive of contextualized practical training and assessment in the classroom.

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. This course requires students to be physically capable of performing uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.

Topics covered include; responsibility of the first aider, infection control, bleeding and shock, fractures, head injuries, heart attack, seizures, asthma, poisoning, burns, safety and injury prevention, eye injuries, sprains, unconsciousness, and where required contextualised industry first aid training such as machine crushing injuries and MIG stab wounds.

DURATION:

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid: (encompasses HLTAID003 Provide First Aid, HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID001 Provide CPR): 7 hours of face to face assessment (incl. break times). Candidates have the option of completing registration and a pre-learning quiz either online or on the day via paper format for this course. If opting for the paper format, please allow an additional 45 minutes of delivery.


COURSE LOCATION:

Delivery of this course will take place either on-site at your business, or in our training room at AIO Head Office (33 Randor Street, Campbellfield VIC).


COST:

$120 (minimum of 10 candidates or there will be a flat fee of $1,100 charged if less)
