This course is recognised by all major manufacturers, suppliers and users of Telehandlers in all states and territories of Australia. The Gold Card course covers Telehandlers to a maximum capacity of 3 tonnes and meets the two key objectives of the Acts, being:
  • It confirms that the operators of Telehandlers have been trained in their safe use.
  • The supplier, employer and user all have documentary evidence that the required ‘duty of care has been met or exceeded.

Participants will be able to plan their work and apply a working knowledge of the OH&S and regulatory requirements, in addition to safely operating the equipment. Worksafe Victoria requires operators to hold a CN licence when the capacity of a mobile non-slewing crane (which includes a telehandler) is over 3 tonne.

Where training and assessment occurs at a AIO training facility, all equipment required for the course is provided. Where there is a request for training to occur on-site, the equipment that must be available for training and assessment will be discussed at the time of booking.

Students are required to provide enclosed shoes and appropriate work clothing. Where the course is held at a AIO training facility, all PPE required will be provided. For on-site courses, students must wear PPE as required by site requirements.

Students must also be able to use the English language at a level that enables the safe handling of equipment. Also, students are required to have general good health and fitness and any pre-existing medical conditions that will affect the training must be disclosed prior to attending.
