AIO Employee qualifies for 2020 Tribal Clash World Championships

AIO Training Coordinator Billie Pearson was part of a six person team which successfully qualified for the 2020 Tribal Clash World Championships after placing sixth at the Australian stage earlier this month.

Across the weekend starting on 15 February at Wollongong, Pearson’s team consisting of three males and three females competed against 99 other teams in the global throwdown series testing their capacity to work together to the max.

With an age range of 28 to 50, Pearson’s group worked extremely well together and after achieving bronze in the same event last year returned again.

Pearson described the most memorable moment of the weekend while also noting the skill similarities between the competition and her work at AIO.

“Our tug of war in the semi-finals went for over nine minutes, this secured the team with not only a spot in the final, but also meant we qualified for the World Championships.

“Skills like work ethic and teamwork are interrelated for the event and also my day job at AIO! I think this event always reiterates to you, that if you can work well together in a team you are a strong unit and can accomplish big things.

“The team has already entered for next year, it will be great to see how we stack up in 2021,” she said.

She trains all year round due to her passion for physical fitness, but slightly altered her training structure in January and February to hit areas more specific to what the competition organisers might throw at them.

Pearson thanked her team who performed incredibly all weekend, her parents Suzie and Barry Pearson who travelled to support, her partner Chris for being her training buddy and of course to the generous team sponsor Turbo Superfoods.

Next year the team will be sponsored by AIO as they look to continue their ‘all in one’ approach against the very best in Australia and the world.

CEO’s Corner: Partnering with Richmond

In 2019 we decided to tackle the wonderful world of sponsorship and align ourselves with Richmond Football Club because we believed it would greatly benefit both organisations on and off the field.

In my opinion, one of the biggest milestones as a business was the day AIO partnered with Richmond, but there were many different reasons why AIO joined the Yellow and Black cohort.

Last year I was extremely proud that AIO officially became a proud partner of Richmond Football Club through its support of the VFLW program where the team achieved its first finals appearance in the program’s two-year history.

Richmond is arguably Australia’s biggest sporting club with over 100,000 members, which also puts it on the global sporting map.

This extensive reach is attractive but the values Richmond Football Club stand for are what set it apart from other potential sponsorship options which I will explore later in this piece.

My four-year-old daughter Aylah wishes to play sport when she is older and as they say, you can’t be what you can’t see.

It is this desire to show Aylah that her sporting dreams are possible with lots of hard work and a deep desire to help develop players in their chosen careers off the field which brought on such a purposeful partnership.

At AIO, we have three different divisions as part of the one business and Richmond have five different teams within the one Club which are all connecting to thrive and win.

As the first Development Partner of Richmond’s VFLW team, AIO was extremely excited to align itself with a well-respected brand which shared similar values.

AIO and Richmond Football Club both want to be strong and bold in their chosen fields and at AIO we are extremely passionate about supporting the next wave of elite players.

Richmond have worked hard to build an engaged and passionate base of fans which we admire, they have also nurtured numerous business relationships among the four walls of Punt Rd and I dare you to try and find somewhere in Australia which hasn’t heard of the ‘Tiger Army!’

That is why at the start of 2020 in exciting news, it was announced we had continued our support within the Club by becoming the sole Development Partner extending our valued partnership to the VFL program on top of the VFLW.

General Manager of Training & Development Tim Palma says the four new courses offer more value to businesses within the engineering, maintenance and manufacturing industries.

“AIO is more than just a labour hire company, as it can provide many businesses with the opportunity to engage in job ready training programs for new employees and the ability to upskill their workforce.

“Our training division offers a wide variety of courses that can be used to develop workforces, with demonstrated capacity to work on a much larger scale with businesses to utilise training programs to develop entire workforce recruitment and retention strategies.

“Our training and education offerings are just one of the extensive services AIO offers which adds value, flexibility and support to businesses of all shapes and sizes,” he said.

AIO Contracting expands Richmond partnership

Credit: Richmond Media

The Richmond Football Club is proud to announce that its partnership with All In One Contracting (AIO) has grown for the 2020 season.

Founded in Melbourne in 2010, AIO is a family operated business which prides itself on being the ‘all in one’ provider for labour and recruitment, engineering and construction, as well as training and education across multiple industries.

AIO was the Richmond VFLW’s first ever partner in 2019 and will now expand its ties with the Club to be the development partner of both the Richmond VFL and VFLW programs in 2020.

The industry leading workforce solution company will have its logo appear on both team’s playing jumpers in 2020.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLuuII1MZnw

AIO Chief Executive Officer, Grant Savari, said that the company was proud to support the Club’s football development programs.

“Last year the VFLW achieved their first finals berth in only their second season and the VFL group achieved the ultimate success which shows just how much of a thrilling time it is to be aligned with such a strong organisation,” he said.

“Melburnians are renowned for their passion of AFL and as a Melbourne based business, we are pleased we can direct our passion for the mighty Yellow and Black into something supportive like this.”

Through the partnership, AIO has been able to offer real world employment opportunities to Richmond players, including Richmond Women’s defender, Rebecca Miller.

Richmond General Manager - Football Talent, Blair Hartley, said that strong VFL and VFLW programs were important to the Club’s on-field success.

“By having a strong development program, the Club is able to give our players the best chance to succeed both on and off the field,” he said.

“Partnerships like AIO help to make this possible, and we look forward to developing more players through our VFL and VFLW teams, to the higher level in 2020.”

CEO’s Corner: Proud to be World Class

With a New Year comes a fresh start and a clean slate as everyone generally tries to start 2020 on the right foot, so with that in mind I have decided to highlight one thing I am proud of as AIO’s CEO.

In a recent video celebrating five years of our labour and recruitment services, I briefly touched on how proud I was of our ISO certification.

In 2015 after an extensive application process, the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) recognised AIO and granted our business three certifications:

  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 14001
  • AS/NZS 4801

ISO 9001

This certification is internationally recognised and revolves around ensuring quality systems are established with the numerous products and services we provide at AIO, so they are at an international standard for our clients.

By gaining this certification it is tangible recognition that AIO produces high quality, world class offerings across the whole business.

This gives clients and potential clients peace of mind that they will receive a product and/or service they will be highly satisfied with.

ISO 14001

Similar to the ISO 9001 certification, ISO 14001 displays AIO has a world class approach to delivering products and services in a way which has a positive environmental impact.

Again, it is also an internationally recognised standard and provides a framework that organisations can follow, rather than establishing environmental performance requirements.

As a business we continually strive to maintain and improve our management systems to benefit the environment as well as our clients.

Our various systems provide multiple benefits including reducing waste, decreasing costs, providing new business opportunities and improving our overall environmental impact.

AS/NZS 4801

Globally, Australia and New Zealand have some of the highest safety standards in existence. To achieve AS/NZS 4801 certification, an organisation must hold their safety practices and procedures in the highest regard.

Encouraging a culture of safety in the workplace provides many benefits to an organisation and its employees including reducing the onset of workplace injuries, illness and incidents, enhancing the company’s reputation as a safe and reliable business, plus it demonstrates a strong commitment to ongoing improvement for safety.

AIO takes great pride in all of these impacts which stem from high safety standards!

Together these three certifications are something I’m extremely proud of as CEO of our Melbourne based business and it is the culmination of hard work and a genuine desire to offer world class products and services.

Kind Regards and as always #GoTiges! Special mention to the inaugural Richmond Womens AFLW team who will kick off their season on 7 February.
